While I can not comment on all of the realtors at Lake Chapala Real Estate, I can tell you of my experience wirh Dwight McLelland.

My only relationship with Dwight is that he is a fellow Calgarian- so my opinion is pretty unbiased. I met Dwight on a recent visit to the Chapala Area as I was looking for a long term rental. Although Lake Chapala Real Estate does not handle rentals, Dwight spend a day and a half showing me the various neighborhoods in Lakeside.

We also looked at several properties tha would be in our price range, just to give us an idea, once we are ready to purchase.

Of course, Dwight is our first choice as a realtor. Another bonus is that his warmth and kindness soon turn clients into friends.

Not only did he show me around, he told me of the best places to purchase everything from groceries to vehicles. Hes was a great source of information as he shared his experiences and suggestions in relocation.

The decision and journey of purchasing a new home is often filled with tremendous excitement, and of course some apprehension as you work through the end-to-end process of the purchase. Buying in a foreign country quadruples all the feelings and emotions!

My husband and I went into the process knowing we had to have an open mind, expecting there would be surprises, unknowns, and challenges we hadn’t planned on, etc. We knew we had to be flexible and just keep an open mind. What we didn’t expect was Sherry Carter!!

Sherry was a wealth of knowledge throughout the entire process. Sherry knows the area, she knows the real estate market and she knows the real estate purchasing process inside & out. Her understanding of the unique nuances of purchasing a home in Mexico vs. purchasing in the US was so helpful and invaluable to us.
She showed us many homes and when we found “the one” and were ready to make an offer, Sherry literally explained every single detail of every single step throughout the entire process. During the 3 weeks from the time our offer was accepted and the time we closed on the house (which we did remotely), my husband and I kept saying to each other “okay, this is going too smoothly”. We kept preparing ourselves for something to go wrong or not go according to plan. It never happened. Everything Sherry explained and did went exactly as she said it would.

Sherry made appointments for the; home inspection, and Notaria, introduced us to a an excellent property manager which we are using. She was incredibly helpful every step of the way. She was so patient in answering all our questions, and we had lots of questions!

There really aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe Sherry. We feel so blessed that she was our realtor and and are so appreciative to her and Chapala Realtors for making our San Antonio Tlayacapan home purchase the easiest home purchase we have ever had.
